Thor Odinson, often simply called Thor, is a central figure in Marvel Comics, particularly known for his role in The Avengers. He hails from Asgard, a realm existing outside of human perception and home to a race of powerful beings also known as gods. He is the son of Odin, the Allfather and King of Asgard, and Frigga, the Allmother.

As the God of Thunder, Thor possesses immense strength, durability, and control over lightning. He wields Mjolnir, a mystical hammer granting him the power to fly and summon storms. In his early appearances, Thor was often portrayed as arrogant and reckless, leading to his banishment to Earth by Odin as a lesson in humility.
